Think differently, feel better

from £0.00

Saturday 7th February, 10am - 1pm

At Heart Jewel Centre, Matlock Bath

£15 | free for members

Everyone is welcome to attend this half day meditation course to learn various ways in which we can think differently about situations in our life and in the world and feel better as a result.

Our feelings are parts of our mind that accompany every moment of our conceptual thoughts. A pleasant feeling accompanies a positive thought and an uncomfortable feeling accompanies a negative thought.

That is It possible to change the way we think about situations, and so feel differently about them, is a concept central to Buddhist understanding about the way things exist - that things exist as appearances to our mind.

We utilise this wisdom to transform how we perceive the people and events in our life and so change our experience of them.

It’s quite magical!

On this course we will learn ways to think differently so that we can feel better.

Everyone is welcome to come along and find out how.

“Happiness and suffering are states of mind and so their main causes can not be found outside the mind.” Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

We tend to think if we encounter difficult people or stressful situations that it is impossible to stay calm and peaceful in such situations. If we entertain the concept that our state of mind has more to do with our experience than the external condition we become deeply invested in making our mind positive so we can learn to transform even the most difficult conditions.
