About the centre

Heart Jewel Centre is a registered charity and non-profit organisation dedicated to benefiting the local community and is open to everyone. The Centre offers a full program of introductory classes, study programmes and meditation retreats, all functioning to promote the development of inner and outer peace. It is also home to the ‘World Peace café’ - altogether a peaceful environment in an otherwise hectic world....

Matlock Bath is a picturesque area of the Derwent valley with rocky crags and wooded hills, offering fine walks and beautiful views. The Centre has links with lovely local B&Bs, should you wish to explore this delightful area.

Meditation classes

Heart Jewel Centre offers introductory meditation classes in various towns in the Derbyshire Dales and the Amber Valley.

Each class includes a guided relaxation meditation and explanations on how to apply wisdom and compassion in our daily life. There is also time to ask questions and discuss over light refreshments.

Through these classes we can learn how to find solutions to our daily problems and come to experience a sense of peace and happiness.

Classes are suitable for anyone interested in meditation. There is no need to book - Everybody Welcome.

Foundation Programme

The heart of the Centre is a specially designed study programme which functions to increase our wisdom and practical application of Buddha's teachings. Through listening, contemplating, meditating and discussing we learn how to solve our problems, find permanent inner peace and become of real benefit to others.
